About this book

Disclaimer: This book is not advice or a suggestion that people dissolve a marriage at the first sight of a challenge. I am only telling my story to share the magnificent power of the love of a merciful God, His grace and ability to turn my mess into a message of hope to many... Every situation is SO different. In fact I share the reality of a chaotic household from a child's perspective to invite the reader to consider that there are many possible, alternative outcomes to any situation. I do not know how many people plan to divorce after getting married, well I didn't. That's why the reality of an impending divorce and a feeling of failing had me in its grip for years during a physically and emotionally abusive marriage. Even more, it was a foreign concept to me to seek a way out of it, because as a Christian, divorce did not seem to be a "right alternative or choice." In this book, I invite you to explore with me my struggles, mental health, confusion and ultimately, my journey into clarity and freedom, choice and mental well-being, not just for me, but for my children as well. In the book, one of the children writes about the environment in the home and its impact on them. Follow our journey to mental well-being as you will find my eldest child, Dami and I on YouTube in a BBC documentary called "I Blame My Parents" - anxiety and me, aired 20/01/19. Thank you for buying my book. It is my sincere prayer that you will find hope, peace and forgiveness as you read and share this book :) Noticed an error in this book?
