About this book
On the day of her tenth year, Nadia, a young goddess, decides to fly further than she has ever done before, testing the will of the priest that ministers to her and defying the rules that keep her life dull and unrewarding. On that day she meets three naive village children and despite the risk of discovery befriends them. But as time passes, Nadia finds herself increasingly troubled by her new friends' curiosity and by an underlying threat that never seems far away. Will her conscience allow her to do whatever she needs to do to keep their friendship? Or will the cost be too high?
