A king barely ascends the throne of his fathers in a fictional kingdom by the sea when it appears that the sceptre is being wrested from his grip by mysterious forces seeking to prey on his past. The sovereign stirs the spirits and finds difficult answers to the uprising against him in the existence of a native foreigner who must be found, appeased and claimed, for the sceptre to remain within the grasp of his bloodline.
