The book is titled – “Women and Power in Akinwumi Ishola’s Drama: A study of Efunsetan Aniwura and Olu Omo Tinubu.” It examines women of power as represented in the dramatic works of Akinwunmi Ishola. The research is library based and the method of analysing the data is descriptive and qualitative. The complimentary copy of the plays Efunsetan Aniwura and Olu Omo Tinubu that are received from the playwright serve as primary data. It explores relevant literature on feminism, womanism, Yoruba history and cultural studies as the secondary data. The feminist and formalist approach are used to analyse the play texts in a descriptive and interpretative manner.
