In Nigeria today, just like in developing economy, majority of the graduates from our institutions of learning are not prepared for the challenges in the marketplace. In today’s economy, there is a decrease in the number of employable personnel, not because there are no graduates, but, because the graduates are academically sounds on paper (of which majority are not) and cannot translate such academic ingenuity to practice reality. The unemployed are those who are qualified but have not been recruited for the right kind of job which suits their qualification. The unemployable are individual who are qualified on paper but, remain idle because no industry is willing to recruit them. In this book, Jossy Jonacs captures on paper, what students need to know in school to be properly educated. this book does not fight the idea of going to school neither does it make schooling an less relevant, rather, it compliments what the academic sector has already done.

Reincarnation tells the story of a slave boy, who was adducted from the tiny Igbo village of Ibii in 1756, with his twin sister, and taken through the door-of-no-return across the atlantic, never to return to Africa again. Kehinde and Taiwo are sesquizygotic twins with a bond that borders on the supernatural. The twins can communicate with each other telepathically, and they also share an ability to visit other worlds and speak with spirit beings. Reincarnation is the story of Olaudah Equiano, and it puts to rest questions about the ancestral roots of the most notable slave out of Africa during the trans-atlantic slave trade.

Gaining admission into a higher institution of learning is usually one of the major dreams of teenagers. They can hardly wait to leave secondary school, so they can start being independent and live life on their own terms. But the reality usually hits home when they get into school and find that it's a whole new world entirely. The situations they start to face, the courses they have to study, the people they have to deal with, and the responsibilities they have to take up, in addition to the cluelessness they feel, all contribute to the confusion they begin to experience. This confusion, which sometimes grows into a fear of the school system and dislike for learning, are at the core of this remarkable and inspiring book. In it, the author of The Brutal Agent, Abolaji Obileye has shared secrets that will help undergraduate students fully understand the way the higher institution system works, as well as strategies that can guide them to make the most of their time there. He has laid out steps that are simple and easy to follow, and which will help undergraduate students achieve academic success. Flip the pages to find out what they are.
Have you ever stopped to wonder what sets apart the really successful students from the average ones? Why do some students who seem to put in little time and effort get amazing grades while others have to put in extra effort and time just to get by? Is it related to IQ or are some other factors involved? Let me tell you a bit about myself. I used to be a person who didn’t care about academics. I prefer to spend my time playing games, watching movies and socializing. I would only read when the tests were close. I would pull all-nighters and end up with an average score. However, when I got to middle school, I started to care about my academics. The only problem was that I had a choice to make. I could either be laser focused on my studies (and lose my social life) but earn good grades or I could continue to enjoy my life and get poor grades. Working hard would require me to bury myself in books. At first, it worked and my grades spiked up but I knew I couldn’t continue like that and I had to find a better way. This began my quest for answers. I read as many books as I can that dealt with studying, motivation, memory and habit. My mom is an educationist and so I had access to a lot of books. I also consulted the internet and asked people about how they studied. After a lot trial and error, I was able to filter out what works from what doesn't. Let’s be honest, who uses the SQ3R? Nobody. After a while, my efforts finally paid off. I was able to steadily improve my grades. My biggest feat came when I was among the four students in my pre-degree to earn a perfect 5.0 point. My roommates were shocked. This was because while they were all buried in books 24/7, I only read for a few hours and spent the remaining free time to myself. People thought I was a genius. In 2017, I was invited to give a talk to a group of students about earning good grades. They were surprised that studying doesn’t have to be gruesome and painful but there were some smart ways of studying that would get you A’s while studying lesser. I received a lot of feedback and questions from students and because I wanted to give them the full gist, I saw myself writing more and more. I thought to myself, I could actually turn this in to a book. I wrote the first draft in 2017 and it took two years for this book to breathe life. There are other books like this out there, so, what makes this book unique? 1. I didn’t sit at my desk and open the internet to copy things; rather, I travelled the country and met students who were earning top grades while also having free time. I talked to them to learn what they were also doing this was cuz I know that there are many out there who have also cracked the code to earning awesome grades while studying less. If I discovered that a student grinds to earn good grades, I would flush it away. 2. At the end of each chapter are practice actions that the reader is expected to practice on other to inculcate the habits immediately in them. 3.Each chapter begins with a short story that tries to make the chapter more relatable. Each chapter is designed to shape up areas of your life that all add up to make you a superstar student.
